If you saw my Instagram post from the other day, then you already know what I think about ponchos. They are AMAZING. When else can you basically wear a blanket out into public and receive compliments on your outfit?!
I haven’t always been a fan of ponchos and honestly, the one I’m wearing hasn’t gotten a lot of use over the last 2 years. But, I am on the poncho train this year! (Can you believe this one is still in stock? Buy it here!)
They’re cute, they’re cozy, and guess what?
Ponchos are in style.
There have been sooo many cute and cozy poncho pics on Instagram. Plus, in Florida for most of the winter (except this week…brrrrr it’s freezing) you can wear just a poncho over a long sleeve tee and be plenty warm.
Also, I’m not one to brag, but I think I started a trend. We’ll call it #PonchoTuesday. After posting about my poncho on Instagram last Tuesday, I was scrolling through my feed and saw one of my favorite bloggers, Alexa Elizabeth, had ALSO posted a poncho pic. I mean, was it a coincidence or….? 😉
Anyways, I absolutely love her poncho, because it is more like a poncho and sweater combined, so I have to share it with you all. You can shop this poncho here and the rest of her look at lifestyleswithlex.com.
Cute and Cozy Ponchos
Since I am on a poncho kick, I scoured the internet to find the cutest and coziest ponchos to share with you guys. And because I couldn’t help myself, I picked out the rest of the pieces to make a complete outfit. Click on any of the images below to shop the look.
Red & Black Poncho – Perfect Christmas Season Outfit
Would you believe me if I told you that the poncho, bodysuit, and white jeans will cost you less than $75 total right now? The OTK boots are a pair I have been eyeing for a little while and would look amazing, but the outfit would also be great with a pair of black boots you probably already have.
Color Block Poncho With Pockets
Yes, I do have a thing for these over the knee boots. These tan colored ones are my favorite and would be able to match with so many outfits (tans and blacks). I also have several pairs of White House Black Market jeans, including the ones pictured above, and I love them all. They fit so good and are very well-made.
Coziest Poncho EVER
I didn’t style an outfit for this one, but if I was going to splurge on a poncho, this would be it. It looks so soft and cozy and I think it would be the most comfortable thing to wear. I would probably always want to curl up and go to sleep when wearing it though!
So, what are your thoughts on ponchos? Love them, hate them? Want 20 more? Comment below and let me know your favorite way to style your ponchos this season!
